Photo Retouching
The objective is to create a Before and After image illustrating meticulous photo retouching techniques for a magazine article. The article aims to spark awareness, questions, and discussions about self-esteem issues and psychological consequences related to the media's portrayal of 'perfection' through retouched images in advertising and on magazine covers. It emphasizes the importance of achieving a professional image without resorting to caricatures or exaggerated retouching. The photo retouching requirements include selecting a model for a mid/upper body shot, focusing primarily on the face. Depending on the gender and age of the model, tasks involve adding makeup, smoothing complexion/skin, color correction, enhancing facial features, volumizing hair, and addressing body-specific retouching needs. The final product for a News Magazine is a full-color double-page spread assembled in InDesign, with images at 300 dpi.
